The Tuto Morales family was sent from their home church in Miami, Florida, to this Spanish-speaking island to open a work in 1954. A church was soon established in Moca. Widespread evangelism, a large missionary input and a responsive people have resulted in nearly 30% of the population becoming Protestant during the past generation. As of January of 2021, there are two churches with 100 members and 4 credentialed ministers. Claribel González currently serves as the interim field director. |
